The BCHH Celestial Voyager “Supersonic”

• The Celestial Voyager “Supersonic” exceptional edition is produced in a limited edition of 20 pieces, divided into two dial designs - “New York” and “Ascent” (shown in the photos above).

• A choice of platinum or pink gold case and hands is offered, as well as a choice of aventurine or mother of pearl (ivory or smoked) city rings.

• The concept behind the watch was borne from a shared passion for aviation and classic aircraft, and the elegance and romance of the golden age of travel.

• The watch encapsulates the eternal yearning of Mankind to conquer ever greater heights with ever increasing speed, both figuratively as well as literally, and to continually surpass one’s previous accomplishments.

• The Concorde, representing the apogee of civilian aviation to date, unsurpassed still even after half a century, takes pride of place on this ne plus ultra of world timers.

• The world’s only ever supersonic airliner is depicted soaring over the iconic Chrysler building of New York, just as it did over two decades ago.

• The highly complicated cloisonné enamel dial exhibits enamelling technique of the highest skill, using more than a metre of gold wire on a dial less than 18mm in diameter and over 20 individually-fired colours.

• On top of this, solid gold paillons are individually lain by hand to symbolise brilliant stars in the evening sky.

• Combining no less than two enamel metiers d’art of the highest rank on such a tiny dial and svelte watch showcases the undeniable virtuosity of our artisans and watchmakers.

• To make each of the pieces in this exceptional edition more unique, the Concorde livery or paillon star arrangement on each dial may be individually customised according to the client’s wishes, highlighting the heirloom nature and intricate bespoke detail inherent in its design.

• Other bespoke details may also be accommodated.

• London, Paris and New York are written in rose gold on the city ring to honour the landmark cities of the Concorde, and to distinguish this exceptional edition.

• The svelte platinum case with its signature BCHH eagle wing lugs now bears a titanium bezel and caseback, making the Concorde edition unique among Celestial Voyagers and emphasising its aeronautical inspiration.

• The 21 karat blue-gold rotor, as always, bears engine-turned guillochage, but specially for the Concorde edition, is combined with the silhouette of the Concorde.

• The BCHH Celestial Voyager was conceived and manufactured in collaboration with AHCI co-founder and master watchmaker Svend Andersen in his Atelier ANDERSEN Genève, combining the high craftsmanship arts of cloisonné enamelling and engine-turned guillochage, with the classical Louis Cottier-inspired world time complication as well as numerous artisanal characteristics of Haute Horlogerie in movement and case finishing.

• The watch is remarkable for remaining a svelte 10.1mm thin while encompassing a three layered dial comprising a cloisonné enamel dial centre, aventurine city ring and 24 hour ring, as well as a mother of pearl caseback ring, not to mention the world time complication itself.
